The story of longevitydocs is rooted in connection.
In 2021, our founder, Dr. David Luu, sent a cold LinkedIn message to Dr. Frank Lipman. That simple outreach grew into something more enduring: a mentorship, a friendship, and a shared commitment to building the future of longevity medicine.
From dinners to candid conversations, Dr. Lipman has been a steady presence in shaping what longevitydocs has become. It was only fitting that he hosted our inaugural longevitydocs Table in New York City, setting the tone for the physician-only community we continue to build today.
Who Is Dr. Frank Lipman?
Dr. Lipman is one of the most influential voices in integrative and longevity-focused medicine. Born and trained in South Africa before moving to the United States, he built a career at the intersection of Western medicine and traditional healing practices. He recognized early on that the future of medicine lay not only in treating disease, but in preventing it—and in empowering patients to live longer, healthier lives.
As the founder of Eleven Eleven Wellness Center in New York City, he has led thousands of patients through protocols designed to extend both lifespan and health span. His work bridges clinical precision with nutrition, movement, sleep, and lifestyle practices—decades before these became common talking points in medicine.
A Prolific Author and Thought Leader
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Lipman is a prolific author whose books have reached millions of readers and physicians alike. His published works include:
-
How to Be Well — a guide to the essential practices of health and vitality.
-
The New Health Rules — a roadmap for simplifying wellness in everyday life.
-
Younger Next Year (with Chris Crowley) — an exploration of how lifestyle choices directly impact aging.
-
Better Sleep, Better You (with Neil Parikh) — an evidence-based manual for one of the most underappreciated pillars of longevity.
Through his writing, he has inspired millions to reframe health as something far more than the absence of disease.
Health is not the absence of disease. It's the presence of vitality. That distinction changes everything about how we practice medicine. Dr. Frank Lipman
Why Frank's Voice Matters to LongevityDocs
For longevitydocs, Dr. Lipman's influence is both personal and structural. From that first DM to guiding our first Table, he has helped shape a community of physicians committed to redefining healthcare for the 21st century.
As a faculty member in the CLD program, he brings decades of clinical experience, intellectual rigor, and a philosophy that patient empowerment and lifestyle medicine are not optional—they're foundational. His presence signals to our physician community that longevity medicine is not a trend. It's the future.
