Zahi A. Fayad, PhD, is Professor of Radiology and Medicine (Cardiology) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he also serves as Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Radiology and holds the Lucy G. Moses Professorship in Medical Imaging and Bioengineering. Dr. Fayad is internationally recognized for his interdisciplinary research in cardiovascular imaging, spanning MR, CT, PET, and nanomedicine, with a focus on early detection and prevention of cardiovascular disease. He has authored over 300 peer-reviewed publications and serves as Principal Investigator on multiple NIH-funded grants, as well as several multicenter clinical trials.
