The Longevity Medicine Moment

Longevity medicine is no longer emerging. It has arrived and here to stay. Patients across every continent are asking doctors about biomarkers, peptides, hormonally-optimized care, and strategies for extending healthspan. The doctors being recognized tonight are the physicians who answered that call.

The Certified longevitydocs(CLD) program is designed specifically for licensed MDs, DOs, and MBBS physicians who want clinical training in this discipline. Not a rebranded functional medicine program. Not an add-on module to a legacy certification. A purpose-built curriculum, 100+ hours, physician-only enrollment, taught by leading longevity clinicians and researchers.

The result: physicians who can confidently order advanced biomarkers, interpret metabolic patterns over time, prescribe evidence-based interventions, and build longevity-centered practices that generate loyalty, referrals, and measurable health outcomes.

Tonight, physicians cross the stage. But what matters is what happens next week in their clinics, when they order a new biomarker panel, have an improved conversation with a patient, and recognize an opportunity to prevent disease before it arrives. Dr. David Luu, Founder of longevitydocs

Exploring longevity medicine certification? A Comprehensive guide to the top programs

Compare the leading longevity medicine certifications—A4M, IFM, GCLS, and ACLM—learn what makes a certification worth your time, and discover why the Certified longevitydocs credential stands apart.

The best longevity medicine certification for physicians is one that combines rigorous science, clinical protocols and mastery you can use immediately, and a network of peers practicing at the same level. The Certified longevitydocs™ (CLD) program checks all three boxes as the world's first credential built exclusively for the emerging discipline of longevity medicine.

Longevity medicine is no longer a niche interest. Patients are asking about biological age testing, peptide therapies, and healthspan optimization. Physicians who can deliver evidence-based answers are building thriving practices. But not every certification program is created equal.

Here we compare the leading longevity medicine certifications available in 2026 and explain why the CLD credential is designed to set you apart.

What Is the Certified longevitydocs™ (CLD) Program?

The Certified longevitydocs™ (CLD) credential is the world's first physician certification dedicated exclusively to longevity medicine. Built for licensed MDs, DOs, and MBBS physicians, the program is designed to be completed in 6 to 9 months alongside an active clinical practice.

The CLD curriculum covers biomarker diagnostics, metabolic health, cellular biology, regenerative protocols, peptide therapeutics, the exposome, AI-augmented practice, and the clinical application of longevity science across organ systems. Every element is accountable to evidence. The program is cohort-based and delivered through the longevitydocs™ platform, where you'll access 100+ hours of content, live sessions with faculty, case discussions, and Hippo, your personal AI assistant grounded in longevity science.

Unlike conventional medical education, the CLD is built for clinical application from month one. You learn diagnostics, you apply them. You master protocols, you implement them. You build relationships with peers, you refer to them. This is education designed for physicians who want to transform their practice Monday morning, not years from now.

What the the Certified longevitydocs™ (CLD) Program Delivers

This graduating cohort earned far more than a credential. They gained access to a proprietary learning platform grounded in longevity science. They worked with Hippo, an AI learning assistant built on the CLD curriculum, designed to help them answer patient questions faster and more confidently. They joined a global peer network of 100+ physicians across 50+ countries—physicians they can refer to, collaborate with, and learn from as the field evolves.

Most importantly: they learned longevity medicine the way it's meant to be practiced. With full curriculum access from day one. No gating modules. No waiting periods. No in-person attendance requirements. Asynchronous, flexible coursework that fits around a busy clinical practice. Physician-only enrollment ensuring the content remains rigorous and clinically relevant.

The longevitydocs™ Movement

Three years ago, the longevitydocs™ community was nine physicians in a WhatsApp group. Today, over 1,000 physicians across 68 countries have joined. The Certified longevitydocs™ program is scaling. The credential is becoming recognized. Experienced physicians—the ones with deep clinical credibility, the ones who've spent decades in traditional medicine—are stepping into longevity as their next chapter. At Cannes, we celebrate this moment and our community for making it possible.

Is the CLD Program Right for You?

If you're a licensed physician considering the program, Dr. Currier's advice is direct: "If you are interested in longevity medicine and want to join a vibrant, motivated community of like-minded physicians, this is the place for you."

But the program isn't for everyone. It requires commitment: 6–9 months of cohort-based learning alongside clinical practice. It demands intellectual rigor. It expects you to evolve how you practice medicine.

For a deeper dive into the Certified longevitydocs™ program, the curriculum, how it compares to other longevity certifications, and what graduates report about their practice transformation, explore the full CLD guide.
