longevitydocs™ launches global physician research network for longevity medicine

New initiative will connect academic institutions and research leaders with a global network of more than 1,000 physicians to support multi-site studies, patient registries, and real-world evidence generation.

NEW YORK, September 21, 2026.
longevitydocs™ today announced the launch of longevitydocs™ Research, a physician-led research network established to strengthen the evidence base for longevity medicine.

Built on a global network of more than 1,000 physicians across 68 countries, the initiative will bring together academic institutions, health systems, research leaders, physician investigators, and clinical practices to study important questions arising from longevity care.

Built on a global network of more than 1,000 physicians across 68 countries, the initiative will bring together academic institutions, health systems, research leaders, physician investigators, and clinical practices to study important questions arising from longevity care.

Longevity medicine is developing rapidly, but many interventions, diagnostics, technologies, and models of care require more rigorous evaluation. Randomized clinical trials remain essential for establishing safety and efficacy. Real-world research can complement these trials by examining clinical practice, patient outcomes, and implementation across diverse populations and care settings.

longevitydocs™ Research will support multi-site observational and pragmatic studies, longitudinal patient registries, and the evaluation of diagnostics, medical devices, wearables, and digital biomarkers. Depending on the research question, studies may incorporate standardized clinical, laboratory, biomarker, digital, and patient-reported outcomes.

The long-term credibility of longevity medicine will depend on the quality of its evidence.

"The long-term credibility of longevity medicine will depend on the quality of its evidence," said Dr. David Luu, Founder and CEO of longevitydocs™. "Our objective is to create the collaborative infrastructure through which important questions from clinical practice can be translated into rigorous protocols, studied across multiple sites, and shared with the scientific and medical communities."

A platform for academic collaboration

longevitydocs™ Research is inviting universities, academic medical centers, health systems, and experienced research leaders to collaborate on study design, methodology, governance, analysis, and scientific dissemination.

Academic collaborators may bring an existing protocol or research question requiring access to physician investigators, clinical settings, or relevant patient populations. They may also work with longevitydocs™ to develop new multi-site studies addressing evidence gaps in longevity medicine.

Under the collaborative model, academic and scientific partners provide subject-matter and methodological leadership, while longevitydocs™ supports the identification and coordination of qualified physicians, clinical practices, and potential study populations within its international network.

We are not seeking to conduct this work in isolation," Dr. Luu said. "We are building a network through which academic rigor and the realities of clinical practice can inform one another. The strongest evidence will come from collaboration among researchers, physicians, patients, and responsible innovators.

Connecting research with practice

Qualified physicians and clinics within the longevitydocs™ network will be able to apply to participate in patient registries, join multi-site protocols, contribute standardized outcomes, and propose research questions arising from clinical practice.

Investigator and site selection will be determined by the scientific and operational requirements of each study, including relevant clinical expertise, patient population, research experience, geography, and capacity to follow the protocol.

The broader longevitydocs™ network includes more than 1,000 physicians across 68 countries. Participation in longevitydocs™ Research will vary by protocol and should not be interpreted to mean that every member of the network is an activated investigator or research site.

Research commitments

The initiative will be guided by three commitments.

  • Scientific integrity. Research questions, endpoints, methods, and analytical plans will be defined before findings are interpreted. Study design and reporting will seek to minimize bias and support robust conclusions.

  • Ethical research. Studies involving patients will proceed under the appropriate ethical review, informed-consent, privacy, data-protection, and regulatory requirements for the study design and participating jurisdictions.

  • Clinical relevance. The network will prioritize research questions and outcomes that are meaningful to physicians, patients, and the responsible advancement of longevity care.

Research outputs will be prepared for scientific presentation and peer-reviewed publication when appropriate.

Initial research priorities

Initial areas of interest include menopause and women's health, sleep and recovery, metabolic and cardiovascular health, peptide-based interventions, skin health and regenerative aesthetics, and digital biomarkers and wearable technologies.

The network will prioritize questions that are clinically relevant, scientifically appropriate for real-world investigation, operationally feasible across multiple sites, and capable of producing knowledge of value to physicians and patients.

Longevity medicine needs more than promising interventions,” Dr. Luu said. “It needs carefully designed studies, standardized outcomes, responsible scientific reporting, and partnerships capable of producing evidence that physicians can evaluate and trust.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is longevitydocs™ Research?

longevitydocs™ Research is a physician-led research network launched on September 21, 2026 to strengthen the evidence base for longevity medicine. It connects academic institutions, health systems, research leaders, physician investigators and clinical practices across a global network of more than 1,000 physicians in 68 countries, supporting multi-site studies, patient registries and real-world evidence generation.

What kinds of studies will longevitydocs™ Research support?

Multi-site observational and pragmatic studies, longitudinal patient registries, and the evaluation of diagnostics, medical devices, wearables and digital biomarkers. Depending on the research question, studies may incorporate standardized clinical, laboratory, biomarker, digital and patient-reported outcomes.

Why does longevity medicine need real-world evidence?

Longevity medicine is developing rapidly, but many interventions, diagnostics, technologies and models of care require more rigorous evaluation. Randomized clinical trials remain essential for establishing safety and efficacy. Real-world research complements those trials by examining clinical practice, patient outcomes and implementation across diverse populations and care settings.

How can an academic institution collaborate?

Universities, academic medical centers, health systems and experienced research leaders are invited to collaborate on study design, methodology, governance, analysis and scientific dissemination. Collaborators may bring an existing protocol or research question requiring access to physician investigators, clinical settings or patient populations, or develop new multi-site studies addressing evidence gaps. Enquiries go to research@longevitydocs.org.

How can a physician or clinic take part?

Qualified physicians and clinics within the longevitydocs™ network will be able to apply to participate in patient registries, join multi-site protocols, contribute standardized outcomes, and propose research questions arising from clinical practice.

How are physician investigators and sites selected?

Investigator and site selection is determined by the scientific and operational requirements of each study, including relevant clinical expertise, patient population, research experience, geography, and capacity to follow the protocol. Participation varies by protocol, and membership of the network should not be interpreted to mean that every member is an activated investigator or research site.

What are the initial research priorities?

Initial areas of interest include menopause and women's health, sleep and recovery, metabolic and cardiovascular health, peptide-based interventions, skin health and regenerative aesthetics, and digital biomarkers and wearable technologies. The network prioritizes questions that are clinically relevant, scientifically appropriate for real-world investigation, operationally feasible across multiple sites, and capable of producing knowledge of value to physicians and patients.
